As Director of the Investment Attraction team, Steven takes responsibility for guiding companies from within the Digital Content and IT, Mining Technology and Services, and Infrastructure sectors on their plans to establish or expand operations in the Greater Brisbane region. Specifically, Steven focuses his attention on those convergent areas where digital technologies are advancing productivity gains within the traditional industry sectors of mining, infrastructure development and energy generation. Steven has a Bachelor of Engineering in Microelectronic Engineering and a Masters in Technology Management and previously worked for one of Australia’s largest and most diverse human resources outsourcing and recruitment companies.

As an Investment Attraction Manager, Derek assist companies within the food and beverage manufacturing industry to establish or expand their operations in the Greater Brisbane region. Derek has experience in food, beverage, and industrial business development within the public and private sector, including working for one of North America’s leading sales and marketing agencies which specialized in outsourced sales, merchandising, category management and marketing to manufacturers, suppliers and producers of food products and consumer packaged goods.
Corrie Germin, Senior Investment Manager, Investment Attraction (Commercial)

As a Senior Investment Manager, Corrie works to promote Brisbane as a Commercial investment destination for Mining, Oil and Gas explorer and supply companies with the overall goal to further establish Brisbane as a centre for procurement into this sector and as part of the cities strategy to promote Brisbane as a Global Resource Hub. In addition, Corrie looks to attract foreign investment into the infrastructure needed to support the resource sector. Prior to working for Brisbane Marketing, he worked as an Investment Director for the Australian Trade Commission, and the South African Department of Trade and Industry as an investment officer responsible for resource investment based in Toronto Canada.
Oriana Wyrozebska, Manager, Investment Attraction (Hotels)

In her role as Investment Attraction Manager Oriana is responsible for attracting hotel investment and development projects to the Brisbane region, developing and implementing business development programs, liaising with public and private sector allies, and working closely on strategy development and business planning. Oriana previously worked for Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels in London, Jones Lang LaSalle in Brisbane and held a number of positions in the Queensland Government.
Luciana Martire, Manager, Investment Attraction (Energy & Resources)

In her role she is responsible for attracting capital, business investment, new jobs and promoting the supply chain optimisation to the Brisbane region in Gas, Mining and related sectors. Her overall goal is to establish Brisbane as a centre of excellence for procurement and logistics, innovation (R&D) and local capability as part of the strategy to position the city as a Global Resource Hub. Luciana has fourteen years of international industry experience in major oil and gas organisations such as Shell, ExxonMobil, Chevron and the Santos-Gladstone Liquefied Natural Gas project.
Tony Heynen, Manager, Industry Development (Energy and Resources sector)

In his role, Tony is responsible for “future-proofing” Brisbane’s opportunities in this sector by developing Brisbane’s reputation as the pre-eminent location for R&D and innovation. In addition, Tony is assisting Brisbane-based companies in capturing opportunities to supply to the resources industry. Tony previously worked directly for mining and oil and gas companies, including most recently with the Italian energy giant Eni.
